    I can answer the last one easy, ASE stands for Automotive Service Excellence. And master mechanic, is qualified on all the tests that you need to be a ASE certified. Also, here is a link that you can look at that can answer some of your other questions about ASE. Good luck. Silverstang

    don’t do it …its the worst blue collar trade there is ….first of all…you need $10,000 worth of tools just to get into a shop(unless its an oil changers place….they really suck to work at)….too much to list ! become a painter or a carpenter. journeyman mechanic. j l
