To whom it may concern:
I have had the privilege of knowing and working with Jeff Linton since the Fall of 1994 when I joined Automated Financial Systems, Inc. Jeff was the technical designer of an automated application for the accounting of fees and costs under the Financial Accounting Standards Board (“FASB”) Statement of Financial Accounting Standards No. 91, and I was the business analyst charged with testing updates and modifications to the application as business requirements changed. In this capacity I came to observe first hand Jeff’s professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to produce creative solutions to issues as they came up. To produce these solutions Jeff was able to comprehend the formal accounting pronouncements and the mathematical algorithms required to arrive at the correct accounting results. At the same time, Jeff was able to communicate to me as well as others with no background in computer programming the theory and methodology of the coding solutions he was proposing for these issues in a manner easily understood by all. As a result of Jeff’s efforts, our firm has been able to maintain a competitive advantage with respect to FASB accounting in automated loan systems.
